Strap Zone guide
Use a heart-rate chest strap without a watch
A chest strap and phone are enough for live heart-rate zones, structured sessions and a workout record.
What you need
Use a chest strap that broadcasts the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate service and a supported iPhone or Android phone. Wear the strap to wake it, open Strap Zone and connect directly from the device scan.
A smartwatch is optional. If you do use one as the sensor, its model must support Bluetooth heart-rate broadcasting.
Let the phone be the training display
The workout screen shows live BPM, one of five zones, target status and the current structured-workout segment. On iOS, Live Activity can also surface workout information on the lock screen.
Voice, tone and vibration cues can keep you informed while the phone stays mounted, locked or out of your direct line of sight. Availability and behavior depend on platform settings.
Review without joining a social network
Completed workouts remain in local history with time-in-zone data. Optional GPS adds route metrics, and TCX export lets you share a portable workout file through the system share sheet.
There is no required account or social feed. System-health export is optional and off until you enable it.
